The Catholic Community in Sedbergh

This small market town has, since the re-ordering of county boundaries in 1974, formed part of the Catholic Parish of Kendal because at that time Sedbergh was transferred from the Leeds Diocese to the Lancaster Diocese.

The Permanent Deacon living in the town is the Reverend Doctor Peter Campbell, who lives at 'Briarwood', Highfield Road, Sedbergh, telephone (015396) 20918. Here there is an Oratory where the Blessed Sacrament is reserved.

Mass Times:
On Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation Mass is celebrated in the Anglican Parish Church of St. Andrew on

Sunday: 12 noon
Holy Days: 7.30 p.m.

Service of Word & Holy Communion is usually celebrated on Monday, Wednesday & Friday in the above Oratory.

NB. It is best to telephone the above number to check on weekday Masses.
