The
Catholic Community in Sedbergh
This small market town has, since the re-ordering of county boundaries
in 1974, formed part of the Catholic Parish of Kendal because at that
time Sedbergh was transferred from the Leeds Diocese to the Lancaster
Diocese.
The Permanent Deacon living in the town is the Reverend Doctor
Peter Campbell, who lives at 'Briarwood', Highfield Road, Sedbergh,
telephone (015396) 20918. Here there is an Oratory where the Blessed
Sacrament is reserved.
Mass Times:
On Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation Mass is celebrated in the
Anglican Parish Church of St. Andrew on
Sunday: 12 noon
Holy Days: 7.30 p.m.
Service of Word & Holy Communion is usually celebrated on Monday,
Wednesday & Friday in the above Oratory.
